Dr. Scott M. Gayner
"When I was a kid, I learned that I was very good with my hands, particularly while building model cars, which requires a lot of patience and precision. This, along with my lifelong desire to become a doctor, was what got me interested in the field of surgery," says Dr. Scott M. Gayner, Harrisburg facial plastic surgeon at Stratis Gayner Plastic Surgery. After receiving his B.A. in Chemistry from Miami University in Oxford, OH, Dr. Gayner completed medical school at the Medical College of Virginia where he became fascinated with the anatomy and physiology of the head and neck and decided to pursue a career as a facial plastic surgeon.
After medical school, Dr. Gayner went on to complete more than six years of advanced training. He completed his general surgery internship and his residency in otolaryngology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. He completed his fellowship training in facial plastic surgery at the University of Cincinnati in Ohio.
