The Procedure
Most people compare the sensation during the procedure to having an elastic band snapped against their skin. A topical anesthetic can be used to alleviate any discomfort. The duration of the procedure will depend upon the size, complexity and color of your tattoo. In general, however, you can expect each session to last between 15 and 30 minutes. You should allow 4 to 8 weeks between treatments.
Recovery and Results
After Pennsylvania laser tattoo removal, an antibacterial ointment will be applied. Although you can wash and shower afterward, you should avoid scrubbing the treated area. You should always wear sunscreen to prevent sun damage from occurring. You will probably see slight discoloration immediately after treatment and, in some cases, redness, swelling or scabbing which will heal quickly. Normal skin tone should return in about 3 to 4 months.
