The Procedure
Male breast reduction can be accomplished using excision methods (surgical removal) or liposuction. Dr. Stratis will work with you to determine which method – or both – would work best for you. If gynecomastia is caused by excess fat, then liposuction may be a good choice. If, however, there is significant excess skin and glandular tissue, excision may be the only way to accomplish optimal results. Excision will also be necessary if the areola is enlarged.
