Dr. John P. Stratis

Education & Training
Dr. Stratis graduated from Johns Hopkins University in 1975 with a B.A. in Biology. He then performed graduate work at Fairleigh Dickenson University in Teaneck, New Jersey before being admitted to St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies. After 2 years at St. George’s, he transferred to the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and graduated in 1982 with a medical degree. Dr. Stratis completed a general surgery residency at the Medical College of Pennsylvania and a two-year residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.
Certification and Memberships
Dr. Stratis is certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery with an added qualification in Hand Surgery. He is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgery (ASPS) and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), and also belongs to the Cumberland County Medical Society, the American Medical Association, the Robert S. Dr. Stratis is on active, full-time staff at the Holy Spirit Hospital and the Carlisle Regional Medical Center where he was the former Chief of Surgery. He is also on the active staff of the West Shore Surgery Center and at Capital Surgery and Laser Center. He has been in private practice as a plastic surgeon in Central Pennsylvania since 1989.

Personal
Dr. Stratis married his high school sweetheart in 1976. They have three children. Dr. Stratis has a variety of outside interests, such as painting in oils and pastels, sculpting in clay and plasticene, growing grapes, making (and drinking) wine, cooking (and eating), reading and writing both fiction and non-fiction.
