Cellulite Treatment with Cellfina™
Stratis Gayner is the first practice in the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania region to offer Cellfina™ – a breakthrough cellulite treatment that gets remarkable, lasting results. People have long searched for an effective means to smooth the stubborn dimples on their buttocks and thighs; now there is a straightforward, minimally invasive solution in Cellfina™, the only device cleared by the FDA to reduce the appearance of cellulite for at least 2 years.
Dr. John Stratis is the first surgeon offering Cellfina™ cellulite treatment in the Lancaster and Harrisburg area.
How Cellfina™ Works
Cellfina™ is effective at treating cellulite because it addresses the source of the problem, going deeper than topical creams and other techniques people have tried in the past. Cellulite is formed when fibrous bands of tissue pull down on the skin from below, creating uneven dimples on the surface. In a Cellfina™ treatment, Dr. Stratis actually releases those bands using a “microblade,” releasing the tension on the skin and leaving a smoother contour as a result.
Candidates for Cellfina™
Any healthy adult who has cellulite on his or her buttocks, hips, thighs, or elsewhere may be a good candidate for Cellfina™treatments. About 90% of women will eventually have cellulite, making it one of the most common cosmetic concerns. Because cellulite is caused by connective bands and not by fat, it’s common for even very thin or athletic people to experience it.
If you have cellulite anywhere on your body, you are likely a good candidate. Dr. Stratis has vast experience with a wide array of body contouring services, and he can determine whether Cellfina™ is a good fit for you. He can also combine the treatment with other services such as liposuction or CoolSculpting® to further enhance your contours.
Cellfina™ requires just one treatment session, which typically takes less than an hour. During a treatment, our team first cleanses the area of cellulite you want to target and marks your skin to ensure precise results. Then we administer a local anesthetic to numb the area and make sure you are comfortable.
Dr. Stratis then presses the Cellfina™ treatment head to your skin. Using suction, it stretches a small area of tissue upward into the device just enough to pull the cellulite-causing bands into an optimal position. Dr. Stratis then uses the controlled device to insert a tiny microblade the size of a needle into the skin, targeting the bands and releasing them.
Recovery and Results
You can get back to your normal activities immediately after a Cellfina™ treatment, although you may see some bruising and swelling for the first couple of days.
Within only 3 days of treatment, you may begin seeing results as your dimples fade to smooth, even contours. As time passes, clinical studies show the results only improve, with 96% of patients reporting satisfaction after 2 years.
