The Procedure

Dr. Stratis usually performs breast lift surgery in Pennsylvania under general anesthesia on an outpatient basis. Through incisions made around the areola, vertically down from the areola to the breast crease, and along the breast crease, Dr. Stratis will remove excess skin, reposition the nipple and areola, lift and reshape breast tissue.

A breast lift is often performed as part of "Mommy Makeover" which will also include procedures such as a tummy tuck, liposuction, or breast augmentation in Harrisburg. If you are interested in a Mommy Makeover including a face lift, Dr. Stratis's partner, Dr. Scott Gayner, is a board-certified facial plastic surgeon and will perform consultations and surgery with Dr. Stratis.

Recovery and Results

You will immediately see that your breasts are lifted, firmer and younger-looking. There will be some post-surgical swelling and tenderness and you should allow yourself several days to a week for recovery before you return to work. Strenuous exercise and heavy lifting should be avoided for several weeks. Incision lines may be visible, but will fade with time and most patients say that their improved appearance and self-confidence are well-worth some minor scars.
