The Procedure
Breast augmentation is performed under general anesthesia on an outpatient basis. Incisions can be made in the crease below the breast, in the armpit, or around the nipple. The implant will be placed either on top of or below the pectoral muscle depending on your personal anatomy, preferences, and choice of implant.
Recovery and Results
Although your breasts will be swollen after surgery, you will see right away that your breast are larger and fuller. Your breasts may feel tender for a few weeks, although this can be easily controlled with pain medication.
