Rhinoplasty in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania
Nothing has a greater impact on how someone looks than the size and shape of their nose. There is no "ideal" nose, so cosmetic surgery of the nose should produce a result that looks natural and harmonizes well with other facial features. With a rhinoplasty in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, a very slight alteration is often all that is needed to achieve an attractive, balanced look. Dr. Scott Gayner is a face-focused surgeon with years of experience working in the delicate nasal area; he has the skill and artistic eye to make the fine adjustments necessary to create a beautiful nose.
To discuss what you would like to change about your nose, request a consultation with Dr. Gayner online or call our office at (717) 728-1700.
After a careful examination, Dr. Gayner may use computer imaging to guide a discussion of how you would like your nose to look and how that could be accomplished through rhinoplasty. Men and women are more likely to be pleased with their results if they have realistic expectations about what rhinoplasty will accomplish, so it's important to choose a surgeon who will be honest about the procedure. You should also ask your surgeon to provide before and after photographs of former patients so you can see the results that they have actually produced.
If, after your initial consultation, you decide that you are not ready for surgery, Dr. Gayner also performs a variety of non-surgical facial procedures to refresh your appearance.
Focused for You
Our doctors have specialized training and experience that helps them deliver on your cosmetic surgery goals.
The Procedure
For men and women in Harrisburg, rhinoplasty is performed at an ambulatory surgery center under sedation or general anesthetic. Dr. Gayner will reshape the structure of your nose through carefully placed incisions. After the surgery is complete and incisions have been closed, a splint will be applied to the outside of the nose.
To more completely transform your look, Dr. Gayner also offers other facial surgical procedures such as otoplasty, surgery of the ears, and blepharoplasty, surgery of the eyelids.
Recovery and Results
The splint should remain on your nose for seven days to help retain the new shape. Although you may see some slight changes in the appearance of your nose for up to a year, your new look should be visible when initial swelling subsides in the first few weeks after your rhinoplasty in Pennsylvania.
